Every year in early spring, when the cherry blossoms begin to bud on the banks of Gomatsu Bridge on the Kuzuryu River in Fukui Prefecture, cherry salmon anglers gather from all over the country. With the glittering Ginroku mountain range in the distance as their backdrop, the anglers' joys and sorrows begin.
