Brown trout hiding in a fallen tree. It is said that this fish was first released into Lake Chuzenji in Nikko at the end of the Taisho era. The person who brought the eyed eggs from Europe by ship was none other than Thomas Glover, an arms dealer who was friends with the late Edo hero Ryoma Sakamoto.
